If you are among the growing number of folks who are falling in love with barrel-aged brews, boy does Holy Grale in the Highlands have something for you.
Holy Grale is calling it From the Wood Fest 2013, and this coming Saturday and Sunday, June 8 and 9, you can not only check out some tasty barrel-aged brews, you can also get an education in the process. There will be examples of bourbon-barrel beers, single-barrel beers and “The Zymatore Project”, which is hellbent on creating “liquids of unheard flavors and aromas that destroy the boundaries of beer, wine, mead, cider & spirits.”
Yeah, tell me where you’ve ever heard that sentence before. Anyway, here’s an example of one of the beers that are scheduled to be available on tap: Glazen Toren Cuvee Angelique (Whiskey & Pinot Noir).
There’s also a special food menu with items ranging from Roasted Jalepeno Corndogs to Chicken Apple Bratwurst to Jerk Asparagus.
Like you’ve got something better to do this weekend?
