HammerHeart Brewing Coming to Sergio’s

louisville beer - hammerheart brewingLouisville native Austin Lunn will bring his HammerHeart Brewing beers to Sergio’s World Beers this week. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 7 and 8, can hang out and talk with him, enjoy the Nordic-themed beers and, hey, any excuse to hang out at Sergio’s is a good one, right?

Here’s what will be on tap from HammerHeart, according to the Sergio’s website:

Buffalo Trace Bourbon Barrel Aged Olaf The Stout

9.75% ABV

Named after the brutal Norwegian king who ended the Pagan-era in Norway, Olaf the Stout is a rye stout with distinct malt character, hopped with Cascade and aged in Oak. It’s color is as black as Olaf’s heart.

Bourbon Barrel Aged Dublin Raid

Peated Irish Red Ale

7% ABV

Barrel aged in rye whiskey barrels.  During the Viking Age, many warriors, raiders and second sons left Scandinavia in hopes of new riches and land. Often after a tumultuous period of interacting with these people they came in contact with, they settled and assimilated, thus changing the course of history. This beer is inspired by those changes. Irish Ale yeast, Peat Smoked Malt, English Maris Otter and German Rye, along with a blend of specialty grains and mild hop additions.

Harvest Ale

8% ABV

Smoked harvest ale.

Thor’s Imperial Porter

Smoked Habanero Imperial Porter

9.5% ABV

Named after the peoples god, the Mighty Thor. This Porter is high ABV, full of robust smoked malts and chocolate notes while remaining balanced and hoppy. Finishes with the bite of Habanero and Chipotle Peppers. 9.5% ABV.

Northern IPA

6.5% ABV

Hail to the Dark Gourd

8.6%

Strong wheat ale with smoked pumpkin and spices.
