West Sixth Brewing announced some events coming up in the next few weeks, including an open house. Looks like fun:
- The First West Sixth Open House – think of this as a tour on steroids! On Saturday, January 31, we’ll be opening up the entire brewery from 4-7pm and highlighting some great beers. This is your first chance for a behind the scenes in-depth look at how we make the beer at West Sixth. Explore the brewery space, chat with our staff-bartenders, packaging, brewers, owners -and enjoy some special beers we’ll be rolling out for the event. We’ll be pouring these beers in all sorts of unique ways – directly from the tanks, sampling aged beers straight from the bourbon barrel, and trying a can fresh off the canning line – which will be running especially for the event. Smithtown Seafood will be providing appetizers to munch on and you’ll get pours from each of our five beer stations set up throughout the brewery. Tickets are $20 (includes a souvenir glass, 5 samples, and snacks) and limited to the first 100 folks – so click here to order yours now! If you want more information, the facebook event is here!
- Super Bowl Snakes in a Barrel Beer release – As we do every year, at half time of the Super Bowl, we’ll release our Snakes in a Barrel (bourbon barrel imperial stout). So, come on down and watch the game, and enjoy one of the first glasses of Snakes at halftime! Smithtown Seafood will have a special Super Bowl menu, and we’ll have specials on to-go beer all day, if you plan to watch the game elsewhere! Click here to join the facebook event!
- Pay it Forward Cocoa Porter check presentation – we’re excited to announce that on February 4th, in the new barrel room portion of our taproom (have you seen it yet? it’s awesome, and there’s pinball!), we’ll be presenting our Pay it Forward Cocoa Porter check to Greenhouse17 here in Lexington. They do amazing things, and will have their flower CSA shares on sale as well as other products made by survivors. The event starts at 7:30, so come on down and help us celebrate this great organization!
